PayPal and Bouncepad Give Mobile Payments Secure New Look

PayPal and Bouncepad have extended their partnership in the U.K. to the U.S. Through PayPal Here, PayPal enables businesses to accept card payments in person including magnetic stripe, EMV chip cards, as well as contactless payments such as Apple Pay.

With Bouncepad’s tablet POS stands and card reader cradles, businesses now have the opportunity to adopt a sleek and affordable POS solution.

Bouncepad and PayPal partnered in August 2015 to bring its PayPal Here solution to SMBs in the U.K. looking to join the contactless payment revolution. Now in the U.S., Bouncepad joins a partner solutions network that delivers best-in-class POS hardware and peripherals to businesses, protecting and extending the value of their POS systems.

“Our partnership with PayPal comes at a really important time for retailers and merchants,” said Tobi Schneidler, CEO of Bouncepad. “While many businesses are still navigating the EMV liability shift, consumers expect to pay how they want, wherever they want. With PayPal Here, businesses now have the flexibility of a tablet-based POS system to run their operations and process payments anywhere.”

The EMV shift has put pressure on retailers and merchants to update their POS systems. While these payment systems are more secure, the costs associated with new POS hardware, software licenses, as well as the long-term contracts and card payment processing fees can add up quickly.

Paired with the Bouncepad Flip and EMV Chip & Pin Cradle, the PayPal Here app and card reader(s) give businesses a simple and affordable solution that accepts all kinds of payments, from anywhere.
