Software startup provides self-service in a heartbeat

heartbeat is a software startup based in Germany that allows hospitals to collect and analyze Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO). Hospitals use PRO’s to measure the success of their work. Patients answer questions on their health status and quality of life before, during and after any medical intervention.

The change in the reported quality of life demonstrates the value add and effectiveness of the respective intervention. The startup’s software heartbeat ONE makes it easy for hospitals to integrate PRO’s into a routine part of treatment and so far, over 75,000 patients have been tracked.

Upon entering selected clinics, patients are required to enter their answers into user-friendly tablets using the heartbeat ONE software. These tablets can be found in hospital waiting rooms and halls. Due to being unsupervised in a public space, it’s important these tablets are protected against damage and theft. To help their clients with tablet security, heartbeat buys Bouncepads and provides these to clients.

Why Bouncepad?

Felix Compes, executive assistant at heartbeat explains “We loved the robustness and at the same time their very nice design, the two really complement each other.”
